2021 - Present

2021: First year in Design

Back in '21 when the pandemic hit I ended up losing my job and decided to purchase an ipad so I could pursue becoming an illustrator and eventually land a job in the design industry.

I started taking any and all commission work from minimalistic family portraits to gamer profile pictures.

Then I landed my first large project illustrating realistic life stages of a large variety of crops. These would then be used to create a product guide for everyone using the company's products.

Beyond that project I have also been fortunate enough to get to create two magazine ads for the same company.

2022 - 2023: Social Media / Esports

I started posting consistently on Instagram with art I'd created based on the games I was playing and out of nowhere I got a notification that the official Halo IG page had tagged me in a photo.

They had shared one of my Spartan illustrations and the excitement from that moment made me realize I was on the right track art wise.

I trippled down on Halo and started to really dial in on my character illustrations and concept work. I'm also an esports fan so I leaned into the competitive side of Halo and made designs based around the teams/players competing.

This ended up being one of my best decisions because I landed my first official project in the Gaming space with Spacestation Gaming to design a team poster for their Apex Legends roster.

Rainbow Six Siege SSG Lesion Skin

Not short after we finished the poster I got another message from SSG to help work on a skin concept for Rainbow Six Siege. Obviously I jumped at the opportunity and within 24 hours we had the skin ready to go!

The kid inside of me still can't get over the fact I designed something that actually went into a video game and I will always be grateful to Spacestation Gaming for allowing me to be a part of that project.

2024: PlayerX Fantasy Esports

In February of 2024 I was fortunate enough to be offered the Creative Director role at PlayerX Fantasy Esports.

Two weeks after starting there we had our company launch event during Super Bowl weeked in Las Vegas where we were the title sponsor for the Leigh Steinberg event in the Ahern Hotel.

We were tasked with turning one of their concert rooms into an Esports Event, take over their tunnel and pillar made of screens, and create a themed tshirt to hand out to new customers.

I personally took on the animations for the tunnel, pillar, wraparound screen, and made the tshirt design while the rest of the team planned out the esports event. Despite the quick turnaround everything turned out awesome and I couldn't have asked for a cooler first event in the design industry.

Drew Brees Picklefest 2024

Not long after Vegas we had our next event, NOLA Picklefest, with our main investor Drew Brees.

A similar setup was requested with a gaming area and custom merch for the event. We chose a theme of a retro pickleball character and our company robot mascot that I had recently designed.

It was awesome to meet Drew Brees and get to be involved in one of his events.

HCS Salt Lake

The next event we set up a booth for the HCS SLC 2024 Halo Tournament hosted by Spacestation Gaming.

The theme we went for was "nostalgia" by bringing in some couches and hooking the xbox up on the biggest screen we could fit in the building so anyone could play some Halo multiplayer like the good ol' days.

For the background I created an animation that looked like it was torn straight out of a 90's kids notes with as many Halo easter eggs as I could fit in the design.

Each frame was hand drawn for this animation and a paper texture added over the video to make it really feel like someone was writing in a notebook.

Spacestation Gaming Sticker Pack

I was also commissioned by Spacestation to make a sticker pack for them to hand out at the same tournament and also two stickers for the 2024 Halo World Championship.

There were alot of hidden easter eggs in these designs from the Spacestation logo being the grass beneath a Halofied version of Shonduras Jeep Gladiator to the Delicate Arch hidden in the font of the Grunt sticker.

Thank you for taking the time to check out my portfolio!
